Apple`s press conference today, March 7th
On Apples press conference today, they talked about the following:
iOS upgrade – the upgrade to iOS5.1 will be available from later tonight. In this update there is support for SIRI to understand some more languages.
iPad – Apple announced that there will be a new iPad. There has been a lot of rumors about the name, but during the press conference it has been called the new iPad, so we can presume it`s called “new iPad” or just iPad.
It will released for sale 16th of March in the following countries: USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France and Japan.
The prices and storage will be the same as iPad2
Specifications:
Screen – 2048 x 1536 pixels. The screen is the same technology that is being used in the iPhone 4 and 4s, called Retina Display.
Processor – The iPad3 will get Apples own A5x, which is a small ugrade of the processor used in iPhone 4s. The A5x includes a 4-core graphic processor.
Camera – the camera on the back has the same resolution as the one on the iPad2, but with a new camera technology, which makes it possible to film in 1080p
Speech dictation – This is a smaller version of SIRI, that will work as a supplement to keyboard on iPad.
Mobile network – the iPad3 gets an upgrade, so that the new 4G-network can be used (at least in the USA)
Battery time – this will be the same as the iPad2 – 10 hours
Weight – it will weigh a little more then the iPad2
Apps
Both iWork and iGarage will get updates to match the new iPad.
iMovie gets a big update as well, with features like “Storyboard” and new editing-tools.
iPhoto will now be available for iPad, and will be quote Apple: “it`s amazing!” Features: multitouch-editing, professional effects and photobook-functions.
iPhone 5 and iPad 3
There has been alot of rumours regarding the release-date for these 2 products.
It seems that Apple currently plans to hold the announcement on the 7th of March for the release of iPad 3.
Some of the features are:
Along with the 2048×1536 Retina display, the iPad 3 will feature a quad-core Apple A6 system-on-a-chip, and possibly 4G LTE networking.
The same site also has heard rumores that the iPhone 5 will be released in the fall of 2012.

The iTunes U app gives iOS users access to the world’s largest catalog of free educational content from top universities including Cambridge, Duke, Harvard, Oxford and Stanford, and starting today any K-12 school district can offer full courses through the iTunes U app. iTunes U has already become an incredibly popular learning tool for students with over 700 million downloads.

News from Apple and apps to iPad
First I will like the opportunety to introduce myself. My name is Morten. I have always had an interess in computers, smartphones and so on. I have experience in several operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android and now gone over to Apple`s OS.
Hopefully I will be able to share some news and tips here for to read.
Today there is a lot of rumors regarding the new iPad3, and that Apple is going to have an press-conference next week. The rumors also say that some may have seen the new iPad3, and ilounge.com have written an article on this, that you can read here
There is also alot of chatting about which apps you need on you`re iPhone/iPad, and i have found a site that has made a top 100 free apps to have. Find the site here
